Chance meeting with Spanish riders

During yesterdays rideout with Will on his new GS and Steve on a GSA, we were followed by 3 Spanish riders on the latest watercooled GS, 1200KTM Adventurer and a KTM SMT, who were interested in some spirited riding :) We rode together from Bagneres de Luchon to Col d'Aspin where we took our helmets off and introduced ourselves, luckily one spoke very good English.

Our first ride of the year over the Col du Tourmalet.  A beautiful day but the devastation to Bareges and the countryside was incredible, its hard to appreciate how many lives and businesses have been effected by the force of mother nature.

Mrs PMT goes out for the day :)

With a covering of cloud we left Pyrenees Motorcycle Tours in Vielle-Adour for what was promising to be a great day out for all.  There were six bikes on tour, Nige and Sam (Fireblade), Sean (BMW1200GSA), Andrew (Kawasaki 650), Mark (BMW1200GS), Will (BMW1200GS) and Mr and Mrs PMT out on the Tiger. This was the maiden voyage for Will only having bought his GS the day before, this was obviously a good choice for him as he was wearing a great big grin all day :)

Once we started our climb into the mountains the cloud disappeared and we were rewarded with glorious sunshine for the rest of the day.
