Yamaha TT600R reliability test .....

Bought the bike in February, did 1000km during which it developed a misfire when conditions were wet and finally stopped working completely a month later outside a friends house.  After much head scratching and testing over several months and never really finding out what the problem was, it finally decided to start!  After a few short rides around the village today was the big test, 300km in the mountains with Will on his GS as back up.  Next time I need to go out in some heavy rain..........

Rusting away nicely

Came across this stationary engine on Col de Labays.  Anything easily removable has been removed including identification plates so not sure who it was made by.

Col de Labays - stationary engine - time for the waterproofs!

Sat Nav error?

Yesterday's ride took us up Col d'Erroymendi and we came across this Polish truck in a rather awkward situation!  There was plenty of room to go wide and take the bend but for some reason the driver cut it tight and ended up like this.  We had passed a wrecker in the last village with the Gendarmes but I think they needed a crane for this job.

Action in the workshop

Just before Russ left home he noticed that there were several cracks in the collector box of his Moto Guzzi Griso, but with only an hour to spare there was nothing he could do but chance it.  He arrived at Pyrenees Motorcycle Tours Monday and after two ride outs, Tuesday and Wednesday, he removed the system this morning and the local Rigal Garage kindly welded it up free of charge.
