Morocco 2013 - day seven Ramlia

Negotiations for a price to transport Paul and his bike to Zagora proceeded late into the night and now man and van had arranged to pick everything up at 7am, so we all had an early start, luckily he was late!  The bike was loaded into the landrover along with the heavier bikes excess luggage as we had the hardest part of the journey to do today.  The 'feche feche' is sand that has been ground down to the consistency of talcum powder by much bigger vehicles than ours and it is simply a nightmare on a motorbike unless you have a light enduro with the right tyres and skill level.

Rogers room for the night
Tomasz's room with a view
Nite nite all

Plenty of little helpers

Easier without the luggage
Safer on foot

The landrover kept with us all the way and guided us towards the better ground.  Everybody had a tumble this day, Keith had a leaking hose which had to be repaired due to an earlier fall (a rare occurrence, the fall that is, but it would be wrong not to draw attention to it!).  On reaching Zagora it was straight to a local garage for a diagnosis and estimate of the KTM's troubles.  It turned out to be broken clutch plates and basket, plus metal debris though out the engine.

Upright again
Will needing a push
KTM wanting to join his mate in the landy?

Keith pretending he knows how to use a screwdriver

Climbing out of the dry river bed
Phil sticking his nose in (no change there!)

Picking out the clutch plates
